Got dinner here while in town for a work trip. The staff was very friendly, and the food and my cocktail were delicious. I had a smoked old fashion and the shrimp and grits. The dish had a bit more of a southwestern flavor than I'm used to in shrimp and grits, but it worked well and was really tasty!
I love this little big place .. Food great drinks are great the singer is very good … Cool spot .. Nice to be able to leave the house for a qik 5 min drive for 5 star dining .
We have been to The Emory multiple times since it opened. The roasted chicken is absolutely incredible every time! The service is great! We will definitely be back.

First off may I say, the staff… Danny the bartender, Christie the host, and Pat the chef were all exceptional. Each one spent time with me to define my dining experience. I ordered the ribeye (pictured below) medium rare like a cowboy should… let me tell you. I’ve lived in this town 27 years this was the BEST COOKED STEAK… I’ve ever had. Paired with the most amazing cocktails. 10/10 would recommend. Amazing service. Amazing host. Ask for Christie and Danny!

We made our first but not last visit here. Brought family from out of the country. We did a mixed order. The food was beyond delicious! The service was top notch, the change from the previous business helped. Love the ambience, ultimately though it was all about the food.

The vibe is spot on: cozy, dark walls, nice lighting, and right off the square. Food, drinks, and service were all excellent — seriously great. We went there on Mothers Day 2025. Great vibe. The manager came by and really made the night. The plate was beautiful and food delicious. They really know what they are doing when it comes to experience and taste! It was a great find when visiting Waxahatchie. The ambiance was refined yet laid back. Everyone said hello, the server had great recommendations, and the food was fresh and drinks were tasty. Highly recommend The Emory Bar and Kitchen to all.
We had a great experience at The Emory in Waxahachie. The food was excellent from start to finish, and the service really stood out. Our waitress, Kim, did a fantastic job—friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of. I had the roasted chicken, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and my husband ordered the ribeye, which was also excellent. We also had the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert, and it was amazing—the perfect way to end the meal. Everything we had was great, and we’ll definitely be back.
